A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the emails sent to non-existent addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an outdated address or has made a typographical error. The drawback of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving lots of junk email messages, but this issue can be resolved using an anti-spam protection solution. It’s also important to bear in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming email messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Configuring a catch-all mailbox will be amazingly easy in case you have a Linux shared hosting with our company. You can enable this option through our advanced, yet simple-to-use Email Manager, which is included in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will manage your hosting account. You will find all the email addresses that you have set up shown in alphabetical order and next to each one there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly reveal to you whether a particular mailbox stores all the email messages associated with a given domain or not. With one single mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable this option whenever you wish. If there’s active email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a specific domain, you will receive an alert from our system. The latter will not deactivate/replace anything automatically and without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be configured with a few clicks in case you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with us. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be administered through our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to create email addresses under any domain hosted here. To enable the catch-all option for a certain mailbox, you’ll have to click the sign with the exact same name, which will be to the right of each mailbox. Disabling this option can be achieved in the same fashion and will not take more than a click either. If the catch-all feature has already been enabled for a given domain, you’ll receive a warning. The same is valid if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never alter or disable any feature automatically.
